The founder

Why this firm exists

Two things shaped DCE: a preference for doing the work myself, and seven years in uniform.

David Cruz, PE

I started David Cruz Engineering in 2003 to guarantee the best engineering services, maximum flexibility and quick decision making. I also wanted to be an inspiration to others, that you can make it if you apply yourself.

I interrupted my civilian engineering career to join the Air Force in 2005.

Active duty, Captain Cruz, PE

I was active duty Air Force for seven years. Active duty is a challenge both personally and professionally.

I enjoyed sharing my engineering knowledge with the military and mentoring young Airmen.

Lieutenant Colonel David Cruz, PE, Air National Guard

I have continued to serve in the Air National Guard for the past eight years, and I was honored to be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

I can never repay my debt to my country, but I will continue to serve as long as I am physically able. I have learned the true meaning of leadership, and met some of the greatest people to have ever served.
